Lockdown is starting to lift, first it was intra-provincial allowed, with inter-provincial travel following soon after, and travel-ready South Africans are absolutely desperate to get out and leave their four walls behind them. The wide open spaces are calling.
The Western Cape is the ultimate road-tripping destination with its wide-open spaces and towns just waiting to be explored. From sleepy coastal villages to surfing hot spots, from the vast open spaces to the majestic valleys, the possibilities are endless. It’s time to reclaim the road trip!
The #reclaimtheroadtrip campaign which is a collaboration with Wesgro will play out on social media, across the @discoverctwc Facebook and Instagram platforms. Images shot by adventure photographer Kelvin Trautman will showcase the destination as a road-tripping heaven, showcasing the six regions of the Western Cape: Cape Town, Cape Winelands, Cape Overberg, Cape West Coast, Cape Karoo and Garden Route and Klein Karoo.
